Kelly Milford was born and raised in California where she spent her life up until she moved to Oregon in 2007. Milford went to college at Long Beach State in Southern California where she had a dual major in community health education and èßäÊÓƵ health education. Milford is an adventurous person who enjoys activities outside such as hikes with her dog, paddle boarding, and surfing. Traveling is and always has been a very important part of her life. Before working at Ida B. Wells, Milford took her love for traveling and started working for the United States Antarctic program. She then went back to college and got her master’s degree in èßäÊÓƵ counseling. Milford began teaching at Ida B. Wells in 2007. She really loves the community and the èßäÊÓƵ building, but especially the èßäÊÓƵ and staff inside.
