JJ Kunsevi is currently a senior at Leodis V. McDaniel High School. Before that, he attended Roseway Heights Middle School and Vestal Elementary School.

JJ has been a member of the District Student Council (DSC) for the past two years. He has participated in providing a student perspective on various issues such as the strike, the selection of a new superintendent, èßäÊÓƵ safety, and has been involved in hosting two annual student summits, among other matters. JJ also served on the Student Success Board Committee and the Levy Renewal Committee, and he chaired the DSC Recruitment and Retention Subcommittee.

At McDaniel High School, JJ is actively involved in several aspects of èßäÊÓƵ life. He participates in Speech and Debate, College Possible, and the Black Student Union. In addition, he is part of the McDaniel Leadership class, where he helps plan èßäÊÓƵ events including dances, pep rallies, and fundraisers. JJ co-founded and led the production of the McDaniel Morning Announcements, a vital platform that informs èßäÊÓƵ about èßäÊÓƵ activities, reaching over 1,500 èßäÊÓƵ and 80 staff members weekly.
