  • What is the program? 

    • Five-year, $5.5 Million dollar Federal School-Based Mental Health grant. Within the 5 year grant period, it provides a full-time èßäÊÓƵ psychologist to èßäÊÓƵs designated as Title I at the time of the grant award. 
    • School year 2024/25 Grant èßäÊÓƵs include: Boise-Eliot/Humboldt, Cesar Chavez, Lent, Rigler, Rosa Parks, Scott, Sitton, Faubion, Grout, James John, Woodmere, George, Kelly, Lane, Marysville, Roseway Heights, Tubman, & Whitman
    • Supervision of èßäÊÓƵ psychologist intern or practicum èßäÊÓƵ.

  • PPS Comprehensive School Psychologist Vision: All Portland Public School (PPS) èßäÊÓƵ are provided equitable access to a culturally responsive and socially just education that prepares them to be compassionate critical thinkers, able to collaborate and solve problems, be prepared to achieve their goals, and lead a more socially just world.

    PPS Comprehensive School Psychologist Mission: èßäÊÓƵ (PPS) comprehensive èßäÊÓƵ psychologists’ mission is to center student and family strengths and voice, especially the voices of Black, Indigenous, People Of Color, and Multilingual èßäÊÓƵ and families, to model collaboration and compassion through relationship building with staff, èßäÊÓƵ, and families and to ensure that ALL èßäÊÓƵ have equitable access to realize the graduate portrait. School psychologists collaborate with èßäÊÓƵ teams to achieve this mission through enhancing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) implementation in their èßäÊÓƵ including:

    During the 23-24 èßäÊÓƵ year, comprehensive èßäÊÓƵ psychologists provided 7,714 preventative services, 90.4% of these services were provided to èßäÊÓƵ from historically underserved populations.
