McDaniel High School - School Climate Plan

  • Dear McDaniel High School Parents, Guardians, and Community members,

     The current Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook can be found in multiple languages on the following page:  èßäÊÓƵ: Policies Handbooks and Guidelines.

     The District is collaborating with the Portland Association of Teachers to update this document to align with recent changes in State Law (SB 553). All èßäÊÓƵs are concurrently engaged in a process of creating èßäÊÓƵ specific School Climate Plan Handbooks in collaboration with staff, èßäÊÓƵ, families, and community partners to meet the unique needs of each èßäÊÓƵ community.

     Our School Climate Team (SCT) has been working with èßäÊÓƵ, staff, families, and the community to create 4-5 èßäÊÓƵ wide values. Our new School Climate Plan (SCP) will be created based on these èßäÊÓƵ values and expectations and implemented in the 2016-17 èßäÊÓƵ year. Our SCP will be taught by all teachers, posted in everyone's classrooms, and around the èßäÊÓƵ in hallways and offices.
