• Live More Musically….

All èßäÊÓƵ are welcome to join the choirs at West Sylvan Middle School!

Are you looking for a new group of people or to spend more time with friends who like to sing? Do you like singing but think your voice sounds terrible? Join a choir! Anyone can sing. Everyone has a voice. In the West Sylvan Choir Program we believe in 3 things: Showing kindness, treating each other with respect, and striving for musical excellence.

Choir is a year-long elective with pathways for all grades! We perform a full concert once a quarter. We perform musical styles from around the world and through multiple historical periods. This year we have 3 different ensembles at West Sylvan.

    Twilight Singers - 3rd period

This is a choir for all 6th graders. The goal of the Twilight Voices is to create a new singing community based on developing musical skills and relationships. The Twilight Voices perform at 5 concerts per year.

    Moonlight Choir - 1st period

This is an accelerated choir for all 7th and 8th graders. The goal of the Moonlight Choir is to celebrate different skills and backgrounds as we strive to create Musical Excellence. The Moonlight Choir performs at 5 concerts per year plus the PPS choir festival and the Lincoln HS Pop-Cycles.

    Dawn Singers - 2nd period

This is an advanced choir for select 7th and 8th graders. Starting in the fall of 2025, the ensemble will be auditioned. Auditions will take place in May of this èßäÊÓƵ year.
