• Enrollment Process at MLC

    Metropolitan Learning Center is an alternative, focus option èßäÊÓƵ open to all èßäÊÓƵ in the Portland Metro area. Our èßäÊÓƵ is the best fit for self-directed, motivated Ã¨ßäÊÓƵ seeking a small, inclusive èßäÊÓƵ environment that includes cross-age Kx12 experiences and experiential learning. MLC does not have a neighborhood boundary and enrolls èßäÊÓƵ through a lottery process. Students may apply from other Districts as well. 

     MLC MS and HS Enrollment

    The lottery for èßäÊÓƵ applying for grades 6-12 for the next èßäÊÓƵ year will be open from November through December. That application can be found here when it is made available by the Enrollment and Transfer department. 


    Students who would like to transfer èßäÊÓƵs for the current èßäÊÓƵ year fill out a Hardship Petition which can be found here. These petitions are regularly reviewed by the enrollment team. If room is or becomes available, the èßäÊÓƵ will reach out to the family about next steps.

    MLC Kx5 Enrollment

    If applying for grades K-5:

    Lottery cycles commence in February.  We have 24 lottery slots for our kindergarten class.  Other grades may have openings depending on attrition.

    All K-5 applications that are not successful during the lottery will be automatically placed on our wait list.

    • Attend an Open House - further details will be released subject to PPS safety guidelines.
